Yellows Pick Up 3-0 Road Win Over Smoky Mountain
The Yucca Valley Yellows went home winners at Smokies Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Bill Grant. Grant stifled the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, enabling Yucca Valley to grab the 3-0 win. At 2-0, the Yellows have played well so far.

The Hobeaus had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Yellows going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old second baseman José Gallardo came to the plate. Gallardo hit a 2-run home run on a 2-1 fastball from Smoky Mountain hurler Jang-jin Na. It was Gallardo's 2nd home run of the year.

"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Grant.
