Yinzers Fall to Blue Dragons, 4-1
|
Levittown turned a good effort from starter Larry Cox into a win over the Monroeville Yinzers at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. The final score was 4-1. Mike Manning recorded the save for Levittown, his 1st of the season. The Blue Dragons raised their record to 1-1.
Levittown used the timely hitting of Carlton Terry to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Dragons on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Blue Dragons manager Sal Haynes, "I like our chances."
