The Mancelona Torch racked up a win at Liberty Youth Field, bumping off the Philadelphia Liberty U-24, 8-1. William Maxwell, who started for Mancelona, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, Mancelona is 2-0.

Mancelona used a clutch at-bat from Wayne Graham to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Torch ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"William went out and did what we needed," said Mancelona manager Eric Craft.
