Smoky Mountain beat Yucca Valley on the strength of starting pitcher Bob Bradley's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Mike McCauley recorded the save, his 1st. Yucca Valley falls to 2-1.

Jae-gor Yun went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Smoky Mountain. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Yun had a clutch at-bat. Facing Yucca Valley hurler Ralph Dougherty, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Hobeaus a 3-2 lead.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Yucca Valley manager Ernest Orr.
