The Grim Reapers defeated the Holy City Herons, 3-2, in USSL Single A action at Mango Yard. Grim pitcher Juan Torres had a standout performance. In 6.1 innings, Torres surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The save went to Kyle Warren, number 2 for him.

Ken Butler had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for Grim. He came through with a 2-run home run to put Grim in front, 3-0.

"Juan had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Grim manager Arnold Magowan.

The loss drops Holy City to 1-2.
