The Grand Forks Caterpillars dealt the Philadelphia Liberty U-24 a 6-3 loss at The Cocoon. Javier Romero was the star on offense. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Jerry Fry picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jacob Hewitt suffered the loss. The save went to Ánibal Gonzáles, his 1st this season.

Romero contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Grand Forks in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Romero took a changeup from Jacob Hewitt and stroked the home run to left-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Caterpillars to leap in front, 4-2.

Romero attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
