The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus eked out a 3-2 win versus the Columbia River Rats at Columbia Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Bubba Orr. He was terrific. Mike McCauley locked down his 2nd save. Columbia now has a record of 5-1.

Smoky Mountain used the timely hitting of Jacob Webb to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hobeaus on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Bubba was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Smoky Mountain manager Gianni Martin.
