Late Magic Gets Washington 4-2 Win
|
The Washington Generals picked up a win at Seahwaks Stadium, knocking off the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 4-2. Starting pitcher Ray Mullen was a big reason why. John Willis got the save, the 1st for him this season. The loss puts Myrtle Beach at 2-4.
Washington used the timely hitting of Pablo Lodder to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Generals on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Mullen told the Washington Citizen: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
