Yellows Win Nail-Biter
The Yucca Valley Yellows defeated the Alaskan Bush Pilots, 7-6. Third Baseman Rob Allen deserved a large share of the credit. Allen went 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Yellows. The win gives Yucca Valley a record of 4-4.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the 11th. With Yucca Valley trailing 6-5, Allen jumped on a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Bryan Massey and hit a 2-run home run to center. With one swing, the Yellows had a walk-off win.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Yucca Valley manager Ernest Orr.
