5 Straight Wins for Liberty U-24

The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 picked up a win at Liberty Youth Field, taking down the Holy City Herons, 6-3. Starting pitcher Jacob Hewitt was a big reason why. Holy City now is 2-7.
An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the second. That's when Liberty U-24 center fielder Emílio Ruíz hit a cutter from Etienne de Ruijter for a 2-run single. Just like that, Philadelphia was up, 3-2.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Philadelphia manager Rio Bavin.
