Reapers Take Down River Rats, 5-4
|
The Grim Reapers polished off the Columbia River Rats by the score of 5-4. The largest share of the credit belonged to catcher Jason Hunt. Hunt went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Reapers. Emílio Sosa came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The Reapers, now 8-3, have hit the ground running this season.
Grim used the timely hitting of Lou Rivas to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Reapers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
