Hobeaus Solve Godfathers, 4-3
|
The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus picked up a win at Smokies Stadium, taking down the Pontiac Godfathers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jang-jin Na was a big reason why. Na picked up the win for Smoky Mountain, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. The save went to Mike McCauley, his 5th this season.
In the bottom of the third inning, first baseman Paul Sherman had a 2-run home run for Smoky Mountain. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Hobeaus on top, 2-1.
"It was a solid team effort," said Sherman after the game.
Smoky Mountain is now 7-5.
