Generals Get Dramatic 3-2 Triumph
|
The Washington Generals, despite a fine performance by Delmarva pitcher Tom Ferguson, grabbed a 3-2 win at Washington Park. Ferguson allowed 1 run over 5.2 innings. The Gallos, at 3-9, have stumbled out of the gate.
Brock Williams clinched the win with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth. In the game, the Washington designated hitter went 1-4.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Williams said in his postgame press conference.
