Liberty U-24 Deal Caterpillars Painful Loss
The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 picked up a win at Liberty Youth Field, downing the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 4-3. On the mound for Philadelphia was left-hander Michael Adkins, who played a pivotal role in the win. Philadelphia reliever Pete Gross picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mark Peterson was saddled with the loss. Philadelphia has a mark of 5-10 after the win.

Jesse Everhart was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Liberty U-24 second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Michael was in attack mode," said Philadelphia manager Dan Fletcher.
