Hobeaus Suffer 6-2 Setback
The Yucca Valley Yellows picked up a win at Ballpark of Yucca Valley, topping the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 6-2. On the mound for Yucca Valley was right-hander Curt Pollock. He played a principal role in the triumph. Jing-yu Xú picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jang-jin Na suffered the loss. Yucca Valley, now 10-6, has played well in the early going.

Yucca Valley took a 2-0 lead on Garry Brown's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Brown hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Smoky Mountain pitcher Jang-jin Na visibly frustrated.

"I like our moxie," said Yellows manager Ernest Orr.
