Caterpillars Walk It Off for 9th Win of Season
The Grand Forks Caterpillars got great pitching from 20-year old left-handed pitcher Tom Phillips, allowing them to bump off the Grim Reapers, 1-0. Phillips went the distance for Grand Forks. He gave up no runs on no hits. The setback makes the Reapers 6-11.

The Caterpillars got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Bernardete Espero. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Caterpillars.

In postgame comments to the Grand Forks News, Phillips said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
