Slumping Reapers Lose Again
|
In a tight tilt between the Levittown Blue Dragons and the Grim Reapers, Lee Kennedy was the deciding factor. The Levittown right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Orlando Sánchez finished to wrap up his 6th save. The Blue Dragons, now 12-5, have played inspired baseball.
The Reapers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Blue Dragons going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old shortstop Chris Thomas came to the plate. Thomas hit a solo home run on a 1-0 fastball from Grim hurler Arturo Martínez. It was Thomas's 4th home run of the year.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Levittown manager Tony Sánchez.
