Hermit Crabs Get Extra-Inning, 5-4 Win
The Huntington Hermit Crabs faced a tough opponent in Philadelphia pitcher Shao-zu Koo, but found a way to pull out the victory at Liberty Youth Field by a final score of 5-4 in 12 innings. Koo went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. Huntington reliever Derek MacIntosh picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Pete Gross took the loss. For the Liberty U-24, the loss makes them 7-11.

Huntington used the timely hitting of Tim Moore to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Hermit Crabs on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a test of wills," said Vincent Cruz, the Huntington skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
