Brown Impresses as Hobeaus Knock Off Reapers, 2-0
|
Smokies Stadium was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
Hurler Elton Brown gave the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus a solid start. The native of Queens, New York helped his team defeat the Grim Reapers, 2-0, at Smokies Stadium. The win for the Hobeaus raised their record to 11-11.
It was an impressive turn from the legendarily hard-working Brown, who tallied 7 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing just 4 hits. Brown goes to 2-2 on the year with 25 strikeouts.
"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Brown said.
