River Rats Rough Up Gallos, 9-1

Columbia Stadium was the site for USSL Single A action featuring the Delmarva Gallos and Columbia River Rats.
The Columbia River Rats defeated the Delmarva Gallos, 9-1, in part because of second baseman Oscar Worthy. Worthy slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the River Rats. The win has Columbia at 9-13.
Claude Prigent had a big 2-run double for the River Rats in the bottom of the second inning. With Columbia leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from 20-year old left-handed pitcher Dwayne Castillo and swatted a double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the River Rats ahead, 3-0.
"They took it to us," said Delmarva manager Félix Martínez.
