Gallos Score 2-0 Win Over Columbia
|
Columbia Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.
The Delmarva Gallos claimed a close win over the Columbia River Rats, due in large part to Tom Ferguson. The Delmarva right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. Howard Rodríguez collected his 1st save.
Alan Peck, who is tied for 4th in the SA in hits with 29, had a direct impact on the outcome. Peck contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth inning to put Delmarva up, 1-0.
Peck told the Delmarva Times: "I think I thrive on conflict. It brings out my best."
The Gallos saw their win-loss record go to 10-14. At the same time, the River Rats fell to 10-14.
