The Grim Reapers got a marvelous performance from pitcher Jean-Jacques Grimaud. The right-hander kept the Philadelphia offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-0 Grim victory at The Coffin. Grimaud picked up the win for Grim, going 7.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Brian Rice collected save number 1.

Robinson Guerrero had a big solo home run for the Reapers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Grim leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a slider from former first round draft pick Michael Adkins and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Reapers on top, 2-0.

"Jean-Jacques was dictating to their hitters," said Grim manager Arnold Magowan.

The Reapers sport a record of 10-15.
