Pontiac pitcher Peter Brenchley did his part in helping his team beat the Holy City Herons, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Pontiac pitcher Lonnie Burton earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. José Marés suffered the loss. Earning his 8th save for Pontiac was Jesse Yates.

Bill Clapsaddle, who is tied for 5th in the SA in bases on balls with 15, helped out the Pontiac cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 3 with a walk.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Clapsaddle.

Pontiac currently is in 7th place in the Silver A at 12-13.
