Caterpillars Lose By a Run at Smoky Mountain
|
Jae-gor Yun impressed in the 5-4 Smoky Mountain win over Grand Forks. Yun, who is tied for 8th in the SA in bases on balls with 10, was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Hobeaus improved their record to 14-12 by beating Grand Forks.
The Hobeaus got a big boost from catcher Jacob Webb who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Caterpillars hurler Ryan Ward. It was his 11th walk of the season and put Smoky Mountain on top, 1-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Smoky Mountain manager Gianni Martin. "It's usually not just one thing."
