Holy City took on Yucca Valley in front of a lively crowd.

Holy City Herons starter Juan Carlos Vargas pitched effectively against the Yucca Valley Yellows at Mango Yard. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 5-0 win. The Herons, at 16-10, have now won 5 straight.

Vargas was in the zone all game. He frustrated Yucca Valley hitters while giving the Herons 8 innings of quality work. Vargas threw 98 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 7 punchouts.
