Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Seahawks
Shawn Wise pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Put-In-Bay Commodores, despite Wise's fine outing, dropped a 2-0 decision to the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. Reliever Adam Hill picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Shawn Wise took the loss. Myrtle Beach now has a record of 13-13 with the win.

Myrtle Beach used the timely hitting of Mal Allen to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Seahawks on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Not everyone likes pitching duels," said Allen. "But I do."
