Caterpillars Stick Liberty U-24 with 4-2 Loss
The Grand Forks Caterpillars picked up a win at The Cocoon, knocking off the Philadelphia Liberty U-24, 4-2. On the mound for Grand Forks was left-hander Len Horton. He played a key role in the triumph. Mark Peterson closed out the game, earning his 7th save. With the win, Grand Forks goes to 13-16, while the Liberty U-24 fall to 13-16.

The Caterpillars got a big hit from third baseman Ramil Laygo. Facing Philadelphia pitcher Carlos Huertas in the bottom of the sixth, Laygo pounded a 2-run home run to center. His 3rd home run of the season put the Caterpillars ahead, 4-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Horton told the Grand Forks News.
