Philadelphia Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Philadelphia turned a good performance from starting pitcher Chad May into a 2-1 triumph over the Columbia River Rats at Liberty Youth Field. Philadelphia pitcher Pete Gross got the win, upping his record to 4-1. Jeffery Taylor got the loss. The 8th-place Liberty U-24 bumped their record to 14-17.

Philadelphia got a knockout punch from Larry Benjamin. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Columbia manager Bayram Tanaoglu.
