Hobeaus Dealt 4-1 Loss
|
Starting pitcher Jeff McElroy did his part in helping the Monroeville Yinzers thwart the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 4-1. Myung-woo Kang picked up the save for Monroeville, his 1st of the year. The Yinzers now own a record of 20-15.
The Yinzers got an important contribution from left fielder Chris Blanchard, who in the bottom of the first hit a 1-2 cutter to center for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Yinzers ahead, 2-0.
"We put together a nice win," Blanchard said.
