The Holy City Herons earned a close win over the Columbia River Rats, thanks in part to Joseph Sankey. The Holy City right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Sankey, the winner, moves to 1-3. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. The win makes Holy City 21-14.

José Castro cracked a home run off Mike Russell in the top of the third. His 3-run blast put the Herons on top, 3-0. In all, Castro had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
