Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Delmarva Gallos and Caldwell Chiefs.

Larry Wallace, who is tied for 2nd in the SA in complete games with 1, was brilliant in helping Delmarva beat the Caldwell Chiefs, 3-1. Delmarva, at 18-18, sits in 5th place in the Silver A.

The Chiefs had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Gallos going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old center fielder Sam López came to the plate. López hit a run-scoring double on a 3-1 splitter from Caldwell hurler Marvin Justice. It was López's 5th double of the year.

Delmarva manager Félix Martínez said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
