Reapers Handed 7-2 Loss by Pontiac
The Pontiac Godfathers cut down the Grim Reapers by the score of 7-2, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Eric Riedy. Riedy went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Godfathers. Pontiac pitcher Álex Canseco got the win. He's now 1-0. Emílio Sosa was tagged with the loss. Billy Cooper earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Riedy had a key at-bat for Pontiac in the bottom of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and gave Pontiac an early 3-0 lead.

"Winning is the only objective," said Riedy after the game.

Pontiac, at 18-19, holds down 5th place in the Silver A.
