Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Generals
|
Holy City got a decent performance from pitcher Pete Johnson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Washington Generals. Washington won the Washington Park contest, 6-5. Johnson threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Today's win puts Washington at 8-31, while Holy City falls to 20-19.
The Generals relied on right fielder Tim Blevins for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"That was high adrenalin and it was fun," Blevins said.
