Hobeaus, Sáenz Pin Bad Loss on Walleye
The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus easily defeated the Walla Walla Walleye, 12-2, at Smokies Stadium, with first baseman Luis Sáenz a main contributor to the win. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for Smoky Mountain. Jang-jin Na, who is tied for 9th in the SA with a 0.96 WHIP, was the winner. He's now 4-2. The loser was Luis Ruíz. The Hobeaus, at 19-21, sit in 7th place in the Silver A.

With Smoky Mountain leading 7-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Sáenz batted against Walla Walla pitcher Leonardo Flores. Sáenz hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Hobeaus on top, 11-2.

"Not much to say," Walla Walla manager Félix Cruz said, when asked afterward about the defeat.
