Reapers Claim 8-6 Triumph

With second baseman Rick Becker leading the charge, the Grim Reapers defeated the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 8-6, at The Coffin. Becker, who is tied for 6th in the SA in RBI with 22, went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Mike Parkinson earned save number 7 this season. The Reapers go to 16-25 with the win.
With Grim leading 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Becker hit a sinker from Carlos Ramos for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Reapers ahead, 8-3.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Becker. "And not try to do too much."
