Hobeaus Win at Grim, 7-4
|
Smoky Mountain Hobeaus starter Albert Longoria pitched well against the Grim Reapers at The Coffin, leading his team to a win, 7-4. Longoria, now 2-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Ron Hansen, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.
Jacob Barrett, the Smoky Mountain designated hitter, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 4-1, Hobeaus. For the game, Barrett went 4 for 6 with 4 singles.
"Winning never gets dull," said Barrett.
The third-place Hobeaus go to 24-19.
