The Huntington Hermit Crabs picked up a win at Smokies Stadium, knocking off the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 7-2. Starting pitcher Miguel López played a key role in the triumph. The Hermit Crabs raised their record to 21-24.

Huntington used the hitting of Cisco Alvarado to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Hermit Crabs on top, 3-0. For the game, Alvarado had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Miguel was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Huntington manager Vincent Cruz.
