The Holy City Herons downed the Pontiac Godfathers, 8-1, at Mango Yard. Stellar pitching by Franco Morán had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 8th in the SA in quality starts with 6, handcuffed his opponent all game. Morán yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 4-1. Holy City is now 27-18, while Pontiac is 20-25.
Allen Harris chipped in a 2-run home run for Holy City in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
