The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 did just enough to sneak past the Grim Reapers, 3-2, at Liberty Youth Field. Philadelphia pitcher Chad May, in particular, had a standout performance. Philadelphia is now 21-25. Grim is 17-29.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Liberty U-24 catcher Jim Wilson hit a changeup from Lan-quing Xin for a 2-run home run. Just like that, Philadelphia was up, 2-1.

"We found a way to get it done," May said.
