Liberty U-24 4-3 Winners Over Grim
The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 knocked off the Grim Reapers, 4-3, in USSL Single A action at Liberty Youth Field. Philadelphia pitcher and Arlington Heights, Illinois, native Franklin Vaughn had an outstanding performance. With the win over Grim, the Liberty U-24 improved to 22-25.

The Liberty U-24 got a big hit from first baseman Jesse Everhart. Facing Grim pitcher Duncan Wright in the bottom of the sixth, Everhart pounded a solo home run to left. His 7th home run of the season put the Liberty U-24 ahead, 4-3.

"Bottom line," said Grim skipper Arnold Magowan, "we didn't play well enough to win."
