Hobeaus Claim 5-1 Triumph

The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus beat the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 5-1. Smoky Mountain pitcher and Brazil, Indiana, native John Turner led the way. Smoky Mountain, at 22-25, holds down 5th place in the Silver A.
Smoky Mountain took a 5-1 lead on Jacob Webb's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Webb hit in the top of the seventh, left Grand Forks pitcher Wayne Horne visibly frustrated.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Turner told the Smoky Mountain Today. "But we take nothing for granted."
