Big Day for Rivera as Reapers Down Yellows, 6-4
Cristián Rivera was a major factor in the 6-4 Grim win over Yucca Valley. The Reapers left fielder belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Jeff MacFadden earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 3-1. Rafael Balita recorded his 13th save for Grim.

Rivera had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 cutter from Jesús Hernández, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Reapers a 6-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Rivera.

Said Grim manager Arnold Magowan: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."

The Reapers, at 26-21, have now won 4 straight.
