Holy City turned a fine outing from starter José Marés into a victory over the Alameda Airmen at Alameda Field. The final score was 3-2. Marés got the win, improving to 3-3. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. The Herons now own a record of 19-31.
Woody Evans, who is tied for 8th in the SA in total bases with 87, took Alameda hurler José López deep in the top of the first. His 2-run home run put the Herons on top, 2-0. In all, Evans had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
