Pontiac Godfathers starter Richard Jiménez hurled his team past the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 3-1. Jiménez picked up the win for Pontiac, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 7-3. Picking up the save was Jesse Yates, his 11th.
António Castillo went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI for Pontiac. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off Bobby Mixson. It was his 42nd hit of the season.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Castillo.
The win makes Pontiac 22-30.
