Chicago pitcher David O'Halloran did his part in helping his team defeat the Washington Generals, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Stephen Henderson earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. With the win, Chicago raised its record to 27-27.

Derek Green drew 2 walks for Chicago. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Green, who is tied for 8th in the SA with a .840 OPS, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Washington hurler José Pérez, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Tula a 3-2 lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Chicago manager Don Pokorski.
