The inspired effort of Grim designated hitter Willie Dale was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Huntington Hermit Crabs. Dale went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Juan Martínez earned the save for Huntington, his 1st. Today's win puts Huntington at 24-30, while Grim falls to 19-35.
Don Kirby, who is tied for 2nd in the SA in triples with 2, contributed to the Huntington win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
