The Columbia River Rats got a superb performance from pitcher Jeffery Taylor, but the Yucca Valley Yellows still won the game, 4-2. Taylor threw 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Ralph Dougherty finished to wrap up his 11th save. Yucca Valley is now 31-24, Columbia 34-21.

John Edmiston provided a timely hit. The Yucca Valley left fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Yellows on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Feels good to get the job done," Edmiston said after the game.
