The Caldwell Chiefs earned a win at Pipers Ballpark, knocking off the Columbia River Rats, 1-0. On the bump for Caldwell was right-hander Ron Harris. He had a starring role in the triumph. Earning his 18th save for Caldwell was Don Jackson. Caldwell, at 36-21, sits in second place in the Silver A.

Caldwell starter Ron Harris pitched like a boss. The 6-foot-1 right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.
