The Grand Forks Caterpillars topped the Yucca Valley Yellows, 4-2, in USSL Single A action at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. The standout performance belonged to Grand Forks pitcher and Hakone, Japan, native Orinosuke Hatsutori. The Caterpillars sport a record of 23-35.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Jorge Gonzáles came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Yucca Valley pitcher Pancho Lizalda, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Grand Forks on top, 3-2.
