The Pontiac Godfathers and Philadelphia Liberty U-24 put on quite a show.

The Pontiac Godfathers clipped the Philadelphia Liberty U-24, 6-4, in 11 innings at Liberty Youth Field. The standout performance belonged to Pontiac pitcher and Stanton, California, native Arthur Tidwell. The Godfathers saw their win-loss record go to 31-28. At the same time, the Liberty U-24 fell to 26-33.

Pontiac used a clutch hit from John Melton to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Godfathers ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Tidwell. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
